The Matrix was a visual treat with great acting, action, and a unique story. It takes some time to get the hang of the story but once you figure it out, the movie is a great watch.
The action is phenomenal. Every fight is very well choreographed and intense. Slow-motion is slightly overused but it is just so cool to see in this movie. The acting by Reeves, Fishburne, and Moss was very good as well.
If you don't like complex stories that take some thinking to understand, you probably won't like The Matrix. Everybody else should watch because this is a future classic.
Pros: Original and interesting story, spectacular action, great acting.
Cons: Story will be confusing to most.

Did you write this review on Monday? Calling The Matrix a future classic seems strange.
By most estimates it's already a classic.
Sorry, I should have been more clear. I meant that it would be on lists like the best movies of the 2000s and some of the AFI lists. I don't know if it can be considered a classic just yet. Thanks for the comment though.
